Im getting the ebay header for my 5sfe since my cat fell apart in the manifold. Just wondering if anyone makes a good downpipe for it? id like to get rid of that damn flex tube because its coming apart. Any help or should I just take a trip to midas or some exhaust shop?

i wouldnt go to midas, try to find a real fabricator. buy a 2.5" flex pipe on ebay and have the fabricator make a mandrel bend downpipe. midas will only make a crush bent pipe.

I'm not too sure where I saw this exactly but there is a guy on here who bought aftermarket headers. Its very similar to those Ebay headers but it came with the down/front pipe. Try looking around first.

i think thats for the 7afe header. but definitely change the downpipe the stock is tiny. also the ebay header for those who are unaware removes the cat on 5sfe GT motors. On cali spec celicas, it removes the same cat called the precat and leaves the secondary cat.

I bought the same header for my 94 gt it elimaned the converter attached to header. If u got the 2 convertor setup advance auto sells a small flex pipe that would go in there nicely. Also don't forget if open it up to much you'll loose a lot of low end torque

not so worried about cali emissions. im thinking of having my local exhaust guy do the bending, just thought midas would be a quick fix. the resonator is eliminated already but I think im going to go with a single pipe with a highflow cat all the way to my existing magnaflow muffler. maybe 2.25 pipe...I know how non turbo cars lose crazy amounts of torque when you go to free flowing on the exhaust. oh another question what should I do about the second O2 sensor? just weld a bung in the downpipe? or could I bug one of them so I dont need it?

For those of you who have the ebay header on the st was it worth it? How much of a hassle because i see it only has a hole for one oxygen sensor

yea do a clean bend to match your exhaust piping. you lose the first cat if you have the cali spec. don't forget the flex tube. you need that to protect your manifold, studs when your motor flexes.
