I actually considered this when I first installed them because I was like WTF this isn't any lower. My friends told me it was a horrible idea though. |

You would be safe cutting no more than one coil off but with what you said about the megans being stiff they will just get stiffer if you cut them

I like the white too, it was just a cheap rattle can job with duplicolor wheel paint so it will probably peel off eventually. I'm just planning ahead And I have a few changes coming up exterior wise, and a different wheel color might suit it better
