The car is a 94 Celica ST with a 93 3sgte swap. So about a week ago my main power wire running to my relocated battery shorted out because the idiot at the shop that put the transmission back in ran the wire in the wrong spot and kinked it. Anyways it shorted out and fried my EGT gauge sensor wire. after fixing the short it ran but would not go into boost mode. When flored the turbo would spool but the car wouldnt go anywhere (Super Lean). so i parked it and figure must have fried the MAF as well. so i went in and reran all my gauge wires (Oil pressure, EGT, and Boost) because when the guy at the shop shorted it out he thought the gauges had shorted and ripped all my wires out. anyways after i finished that i noticed the speed sensor wires had been burned through. so i resoldered them fixed up any other problems it had caused.
Well now after all that i wont start at all. The starter turns over but there is no injector pulse, spark, fuel pump does not kick on, check engine light does not come on. I have checked Power all time and power on to the ECU and it is good. the grounds on the ecu (two White with black stripes and one brown) are all showing resistance. As is the white/black showed 6.5 ohms and the brown showed 19.5 ohms. I connected another 4 gauge ground wire from the battery and ran it to the engine to make a more solid ground and it zeroed the white/black and put the brown ground at 9 ohms. I have tried replacing the computer with the AEM EMS i bought and still got no start or anything so that eliminates the ECU being the problem. The only thing i have left to check is continuity from the ground on the bottom of the intake manifold to the brown ground. Please any suggestions from you wise 6GCer's is really appreciated. And thanks to Dr. Tweak for helping me thus far. |
