pretty much it,

can I find the right parts at a local Autoparts store like Autozone or Checkers? I want to get a a valve gasket kit... well I DID get one... but i didn't realize that there where two models of the 3SGTE made during 94-95... so I think i got the Second Gen gasket kit... I did ask for an MR2 kit thinking it would be the same.

anyway can I still get the right parts?

Well the 2nd gen 3sgte in the mr2 were from 91 to. 95. Your out of luck with the vc gasket. 3rd gens weren't produced in the us. But the ignition components stuff you can get here since they are the same from 93+

the 2nd gen timing belt is one tooth longer, which people suggest can be taken up by the tensioner.
i didnt trust it, and ordered a genIII belt.

Well My Dealer says they can't get the parts for imported Japanese engines. I don't know if they are ignorant or they really can't... any suggestions?

is this the right Timing belt number? 13568-88460?

You dont walk in and ask for a part for a jdm engine. You hit up the internet forums, find the part number, and call toyota with it. A lot of the times they will be able to get it for you because some other toyota car uses that same part, or that those are able to be ordered.
