Could someone please explain to me precisely how the E Manage blue system integrates into the stock ECU, how it works and what additional components I need. Ive search high and low, but i really can't find out any specific information.

Also if anyone has any experience with this on a 7AFTE, how effective is it? and did you encounter any problems?

thanks smile.gif

You interecept a few ECU wires with the e-Manage, configure the e-Manage in the menu, and that's it. Not a science. I couldn't give you a diagram, since I lost the paper where I wrote down which wire went where, but it's easy. You need ALL the e-Manage extra harnesses, meaning, the ignition harness, injection harness, boost sensor harness and boost sensor. I bought the boost sensor and its harness from a company on eBay. It's not GReddy but it was meant as a replacement, was way cheaper in price, and it did its job flawlessly. Can't remember the brand. I'll look in my e-mail later to see if I didn't delete the auction win e-mail. That was a couple years ago. I didn't encounter any problems. It did its job. Install-wise, download the e-Manage diagram and get a 7A-FE ECU pinout diagram. It's just matching a few wires. You don't even use all the wires in the harness. It's too easy. A buddy of mine did it since I was feeling lazy that day, but it's a piece of cake.

i have the AEM FIC and i used to praise it untill i starting using it. dont get me wrong its a powerful piggyback, but it has trouble on toyotas. its constantly fighting with the stock ECU. im actually making a patch harness so i can run an AEM EMS full standalone on my 5S-FTE

thanks guys.

also, if i plug a 2 bar map sensor into the stock ecu, will the ecu be able to calculate fueling, i know emanage only allows +/- 20% thats clearly not gonna be enough for boost.
sorry to be pain, ECUs reaaally not a strong point of mine

Amazing you posted this up. Was just planning on posting up about the AEM FIC, but seems like from what you say, it has the same problems that the Apexi SAFC has with some toyota's, in fighting the ECU. Anywho, to the OP, why not go with the Emanage ultimate. NO experiance with it whatsoever, but have heard that it is many more times better than the earlier version.

Yes, it works. Also, in case you missed it, a few threads below this one I posted how to wire the e-Manage blue. I found my notes. smile.gif
