can someone tell me where the sensor is that runs the temp sensor inside the car. on a 7afe. my temp guage stopped working and i dont know why

the 7afe gets its gauge temp from a sender on the rear passenger side of the engine. under the first runner of the intake manifold... on the pipe that exits the rear of the water pump
