Hey guys,

Just a quick question, does the transmission fork move freely by hand?

My S153 transmission recently crapped out on me so i picked up a used transmission and slap it to my engine. Most of the car has been reassembled except for some drive train things. Before i put the rest back together I noticed that it was really hard to put on my clutch slave. The fork does not really move. Is this normal or am I just losing it.... cause i miss my celica so much.

So insight would be nice. Thanks!

Unless your superman, the clutch fork won't move by hand. Your slave cylinder should be pushed back in so that you can fit it on the back end of the fork sticking outside the tranny. When your done, it should rock back and forth when you press on the clutch pedal.
