a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt. N/A 5 speed.

I gotta take more pictures, but for now that's it. I really love this car so far, even with it's issues. I have a new clutch to be put in this weekend, and maybe that will solve a lot of it.

Ok, ill be the one to say it...

You have NO idea what could be wrong with that car. For all you know it could have electrical gremlins, blown rings, bhg, rod knock, ect. Im not saying it WILL have those problems but it MIGHT.

Heres the big questions:
How much did you pay for it?
Did you have a mechanic look it over?
What noticable problems does it have?
Where did you find it?
Did the seller really want it sold?

Goodluck with it. Could be a great project car, or the worst investment evar. Have fun biggrin.gif

If you love this thing's handling and speed you should have waited and splurged for a VR4.

this might get out of hand soon, before it does, leave him be. Just like me, i bought a 1gc, and believe me it does have gremlins. and i bought another one with its own gremlins to fix them...

So any project is a project. Just make sure you have fun.

I think he might have traded with his brother, not sure though.

Well, I traded my car (straight trade) for a 94 mitsubishi 3000gt. It's a 5 speed non turbo, FWD, and it's fast. I will miss the Celica, but at least it's my brother's now.

Eric definitely traded his brother for this car. He wouldn't have given his Celica up unless he was familiar with the 3000GT. I personally think he got a good trade on it, and his Celica is still nearby any time he wants to drive it.

Daniel's right, I traded my brother. I know what exactly is wrong, the problem was money, but now I have that thanks to pizza hut! smile.gif There's nothing mechanically wrong with it really, other than small things. The electrical is a bit of a mess, but I've cleaned up most of it, and am continuing to clean it up. Just small stuff like that. Other than those things, it's a really reliable, fast, good looking and handling car. I love it as much as I love the Celica, and whenever I miss the celica, I just call my brother up and get him to let me drive it. (he still even pays me to work on it!)

Good Luck... Seriously... that car is just made of fail. my friend had one, and once he fixed one part, another broke. it was an endless cycle of wasted money and useless effort. it was cool and all... but waaay too much trouble.

I love the body styling of those cars, just plain sexy. By the sounds of it, it's definitely a good project. It's always nice to start off something like that bro.

But a couple things struck me about those N/A. I drove a couple different ones a few years back and they're not that much faster than our celicas and are pigs lol. GL and update us on this project! wink.gif

Everybody is just straight up hating this car- why? It's been just as reliable as the celica, a lot of you are exaggerating a lot. As far as parts just "needing to be replaced one after another" that is not the case with this car. Sure, it has it's issues, but what doesn't. You can't buy a used car that's a 94 and expect it to be perfect. And I find this car is way faster than the celica. I've driven this right after I've hopped out of the driver seat of the celi. Way more powerful. And one of the biggest reasons I love this car? Daniel knows what I'm talking about. AFTERMARKET SUPPORT. Something some of you Celica owners don't even know the meaning of. wink.gif If and when something on this car breaks, I have the choice of HKS, AEM, or whatever, pertaining to the part. This car is well styled, more proportional than the coupe celica, and faster than Gt's and St's. Not counting 3s swaps or anything, probably not, but if I had 2k, I'd do TT on this and then we'd see. Haha. The only thing this thing lacks in is gas mileage, and the fact that you have to use premium, due to the 10.1:1 compression ratio, but if I cared about that, I'd drive a honda. That's my opinion, and everything i want to say about it. I will keep you posted, and prove to the people that think otherwise; this is a car that has tons of potential, and the displacement is there, I will make this car a beast.

And I'm not hating on the Celica at all. Not even in the smallest bit. I love them ;D And I might even buy another one in the future (albeit hatchback) for cruising and gas mileage. biggrin.gif
