well here it is......started off at 12, went to B&Q, got 4 sheets of 12mm MDF, a jigsaw and some screws

first off, made the false floor

than after a lot of cardboard tempelating......came up with this

fits nicely too

than made a box for the subs, took the same measurements as of the base tube the subs are from

screwed the box to the floor

than after a lot more tempelating.....

the garage looked a mess, and the old sub box

than marked where i wanted the 6x9's to be

10 mins later

took the top out and used some aquastec (whatever) carpet that i had left over from my mates car

finally everything is in

gonna be very creative with the little space after the brace....need to save up first

but happy for now smile.gif

the HU was really bugging me as it was sitting a good inch on top of the dash surround panel, looked horrid :puke: and as i was off work today, had a go at making it fit better, first thought i'd fiberglass the old chopped up surround, but then, decided to hack the brackets, only needed to sand a bit of the surround down, the end result is really good, very pleased with it

the red marker shows how it sat before

the gap between the seats and the build was really bothering me , so decided to do this

some measurements were taken

cut and shut...

working around the sub's amp

a rough layout of how things were going to be

i love it when a plan comes together biggrin.gif

the brace sits a bit tight with the amp, might adjust it a bit more tomorrow

a minor tweek today, the amp was too tight with the brace...so

sounds great, the ripspeed unit is awsome

then decided to move the battery to the boot for a SAI kit

to secure the battery, used the battery strap and used washers to keep the straps from going through the MDF

used the original - terminal, bolted one wire to the strut, one behind the boot plastic and one extra to the rear seal bolt, but before that, sanded the paint off to get good contact and covered in grease to stop rust

now for the genius bit, gonna hinge the hacked off bit to keep the boot looking nice and tidy but have access to the battery, only problem is, the fuse i used blew up when i cranked the car

also running a 8awg cable with my 110amp cable, got a 100 amp fuse from halfords

i wanted the fuses as close to the battery as poss, also had a loot at the battery isolation switch, but it looked a bit tatty, so left it

then the battery went it

then added some matting to get some deep bass

step 1 finished

final fit

then polished the engine bay up a bit

funny thing, when i was polishing it, it was a bit dark so thought i'd hook my spare lamp up, got the lamp, but guess what, no bloddy battery

next step, new turbo, SAI, rocker cover gasket, cat gasket and custom cold air feed

just a pic of what the engine bay looks like after all the work

you need to upgrade to a sealed battery before the acid eats the inside of your celica up.
