Does anyone know what the Parking Brake Control is?!
I'm redoing my whole parking brake setup because one side partially froze on me and I'd rather have brand new stuff before my manual swap. I know I need the front cable, both left and right rear cables, and the shoes with the internal components as well. On Conicelli it mentions something about the Parking Brake Control, which is $123. So does anyone know what it is because I don't want to buy it if I don't have to. |

I'm not sure because it's listed in order from front to rear: front cable, parking brake control, rear cables, shoes.

What usually locks is the joint that connects the shoe and the long metal piece that's connected to it. Shoes should be enough and don't forget to grease every fastener/joint and any other moving part in that area.

well i took it apart and reassembled the shoes, adjusted them and it was still semi locked.
I took everything out internally so i have nothing on the drivers side. one of the bolts snapped off the cable where it goes into the housing so I will need a new cable |

the drum is usually what holds the ebrake, look in there for the thing that looks like a screw with notches in it, you can spin it to tighten, but to loosen you must release the pressure on it and pull the other way, its quiet a pain in the arse

well i mean inside the drum on my drivers side, there is nothing in there at all. i took everything out just because it was partially locked and it would lock up on snow and ice. the cable is just roped up to the knuckle or something lol
i just need a new cable and new shoes on both sides. I don't think the shoes have ever been replaced |
