just buy em....find universal bolts at the hardware stores (ACE, Orchard Supply Hardware, Lowes...etc) drill your holes to be bigger...use universal bolts with the right threads and washers to hold in place...keep your rubber weather cover on the oem side mirrors as that is proved to be useful with the 5 gen...just stretch them in place and tweak with it a little to make them stay on. it will cover up nicely...when i get my camera out tomorrow, ill take some pictures.

here is the pic of the washers and universal bolts i picked up at a local hardware store....i forgot the sizes and i threw away the bags with the info, but it is best when you buy the mirrors...pick up the bolts with it and find out what size the are...for washers, get the ones with one side being metal and the other being rubber.

wiring for the 5gc mirrors (USA version) are:

(5gc mirror wire color) White mirror wire goes to black wire from your harness (6gc mirror wire color)
(5gc mirror wire color) Red mirror wire goes to brown wire from your harness (6gc mirror wire color)
(5gc mirror wire color) black mirror wire goes to red wire from your harness (6gc mirror wire color)

After connecting them...pigtail is quite long....just in case.

These are the holes i drill if you look carefully...i basically made them bigger...used washers to hold in place of the newer bigger holes drilled.

Rubber piece im referring to...found on the 6gc mirrors when you open it...keep water out. KEEP this piece and adjust it accordingly to fit the 5gc...not hard but worth it since 5gc mirrors don't have it.

how it looks like:

after painted...should look like this: (sorry i stole some pics)

They fit and all. i just took mine off, IMO they look good but are just too small for the car, i had terrible blind spots when using them so im back to stock for now, saftey is more important to me than the looks

Im honestly contemplating getting rid of mine as well. I personally like the mirror area, you just need to have it adjusted properly..

maybe it depends on the person's height...i adjusted my just finr..no blind spots...unless you feel the mirror is too small. i feel that sometimes, but the function and purposes is the same.

They look nice but yeah, I'd rather have safety over looks, besides, I like my motorized ones better anyway wink.gif

I kept my existing bolts and re-threaded the mirros with a tap.
