Why not use mineral spirits?

use simple green, is enviromentally friendly, does the same job as any other potent solvent, and is not hazardous to you or family members if you ever come in contact with it, and no funky smell to hate either.

do a google search and you'll see, this is used everywhere, simple green actuallly has its own parts washer that they produced.

Yea Berto they make several kinds of cleaners that you can get at your local autozone or whatever for parts washers, both enviormentaly safe, and not.
Of course the safer stuff is more expensive, but it's worth it if you can afford it.
When I got mine, I didnt have the extra $ so I just went hardcore and mixed 10 gallons of kerosene and a couple gallons of the heavy duty cleaner the local place sells.
If it sits on your skin long enough, it burns a little and kinda makes your skin feel numb.. Lmao.
It definitely melts all the heavy grease and grime right off whatever Im cleaning tho!!

DO NOT use a water based solvent in a system made for non water solvents, depending on the type of pump it can cause bad things to happen. A solvent tank is nice...go rip apart a cheap coffee pot and use the heater element to run the solvent through and wash with hot solvent....then you get **** done fast!

Very nice! I can't remember what we use in my dad's parts washer, but they are great to have if you have the free space. Do you have a media blasting cabinet?
