Hey Guys, I was thinking about a summer project for my 98 Celica GT and I was thinking of adding a turbo. I'll admit that I'm not an expert when it comes to this stuff so I wanted to ask if adding a turbo would be possible. I have the 5S-FE and wanting to know if a turbo would mess up the engine at all. If the engine can't handle a turbo, I was thinking of doing a swap to one that could. So would any 6gc celica engine fit my Celica GT? Like is it possible to get the 3S-GE or 3S-GTE to fit perfectly in my car, or will there be a lot of modifications to run. If there is a turbo out there, can anyone give me a link to a site that sells them?

If you're trying to do this during the summer you will want to start here:

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=77843

and after you're read the thread (every page...) under the section "5SFE & 5S-GTE" heading should you have any other questions hang around the build threads here and in "My Project".

Good thing it's still Spring cuz that's a lot of reading.

PS: Good luck with the build and hopefully this post was helpful.
