its plug n play for all 2nd gen 3s
haltech is tuned be neetronics and tag race craft.

is the harness just a short harness for connecting it to the stock ECU connectors?

its a full harness. you dont connect to the stock ecu anymore.
you have to get rid of the stock ecu

no, i know, hence the point of a full stand-alone EMS. does it connect to your stock engine harness in place of your stock ecu?

you dont connect to stock harness.
the whole engine is rewired with the haltech harness that came with the haltech ecu
