OK so my 5sfe is leaking oil about a quart every oil change. Its coming the behind the timing belt cover. Im pretty sure its not the oil pan cause i checked it when i did the clutch. But i have most of the leak on the back side of the engine and around the timing cover. Ive read that it could be the oil pump seal or crank seal any thoughts? Powersteering is full.

Oil pump seal. The seal is absolutely garbage. Cam/Crank seals are actuall seals... the oil seal is a ****ty piece of rubber that will crack over time.

7a burning it, and leaking like a banshee....soon enough new engine.

please post pics to show working progress as i also am now finding that im running low on oil....looks to be somewhere behind the intake manifold spot leading to where the pulleys are....i can't find it or trace it...i think mine leaks when i drive. i try cleaning with oil gunk remover, but can't trace it as it doesn't leak after cleaning.

yep its the seal that goes around the post that the pully is mounted on. the seal looks exactly like a rear or front main seal, just smaller. it about the diameter of a 50 cent coin
