for you st205 owners since the 202s probably dont have this issue, but where did you guys run the power wire to the trunk? there is absolutely nowhere that i can see to get that wire from the engine bay to the inside of the car. whats the secret? drill a new hole?

you mean the power wire for the amp that connects to the battery? I have an st202, but i just drilled a hole in the firewall. well actually i ran mine through the old airbag harness spot since i dont have air bags anymore.

ya thats exactly it, i knew i would have to drill, i tried running it under the car and it was working fine, then somehow the wire ripped apart while i was driving. i guess next time ill do the install when there are lgihts lol

woahh. never run something like that outside the car to the rear, are you nuts? haha rocks and debris will hit it and break it

Run it through where the engine/ecu loom goes through, its on the passenger side of the firewall

i covered it with loom and all but it must have been hitting on something. anyways, i looked for a place to run through the firewall but i couldnt find anything. ill look again in the daytime, it was getting dark when i was doing it.

I ran my through the left fender, there is a hole you can fit it through, and then run down to the doorsill and under that.

For the small amount of wire that may be hit by sun in the doorjam where fender meets door, I put heatshrink around to avoid making the cable brittle.

^^thats exactly what i did except there isnt a good spot for the wire to be hidden along the door sill, it seems that it droops too much.

Hmm, I just put mine under it, and used some double sided tie downs to hold it in the door jam.

you should not need to drill anything to get a wire to front and back lol

I have a 2ga power wire , a 2ga ground wire and an ID6mm silicone tube running front to back without drilling anything, as cuts said stick it in with the rubber boot that covers the main looms on the passenger side,

you bring them through, and tuck in behind the kick panel, then theres a nice place already made for wires to run under the door sill, then through the rear you can follow the fuel flap release cable if you like, or on the other side is the boot release cable you can follow which is all behind the rear panels, just pop the speaker grill off, undo the screw and the whole thing can be pryed loose ... then if you pry up the bottom of the rear seats, you have an opening to feed through to the boot,...

i tried doing this but i couldnt find anywhere that i can push a wire through. ive never had an issue like this before, its a pain in the ass for this car lol

undo the tape on the end that connects the flex hose to the rubber boot, otherwise what i did was just punch a small hole in it

See the red arrows, they are pointing to where the engine loom goes through the firewall, put a hole in that and poke the wire through.

There's a hole with a rubber grommet and a cable running through it on the driver side of the ST205 that goes through the firewall.
It's underneath the carpet above the pedals, you gotta stick your head inside the foot well and look up for it.
Use a wire coat hanger and electrical tape to help run your power cable through the firewall.

Why would you run a power cable across the engine bay to a rubber grommet when you can use the ECU one like i pointed out, which is on the correct (battery/passenger) side.
