if its a little longer or shorter you may have tensioning issues, although it wont cause your timimng to get off or anything...
and no i just looked up the part number && cross referenced it to all USDM toyotas. why a "performance" belt? an OEM will be great an last just as long oops i fcked up that belt was never in a USDM car, but... http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/xref?s=13568%...mJ=on&mG=on -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. Take off your old one and count the teeth.
And for the love of god, please dont paint your timing belt. Not trying to be rude, but thats just a terrible idea. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

performance belts dont last longer than regular belts, they are stronger for high revs pushing long duration camshafts is harder on the timing belt but they last the same...
(this is what I picked up after reading a whole bunch on gates racing belts hks belts etc on other forums) -------------------- |

I bought a Conti Synchrobelt Kit #TB199K1 supposed to be protected from oil, antifreeze ect. But I haven't put it on yet since mine was fine still.

All modern timing belts are HNBR rubber though and have been for a few decades now. Continental makes good belts, their OEM serpentine belts last for ever on German cars. I see 100K+ mile BWM's and Mercedes with the factory serpentine belts on them that look new still.
