i was thinking, is it a good idea to get my flywheel resurfaced/machined since i have the engine out anyways?

if yes: is there any real performance ill feel?
how much does it usually cost?
what should i ask the machine shop when im giving them the flywheel
note i have a 5s auto

u dont have a flywheel u have a flex pate.... u cant resurface a flex plate

you might be able to find a smaller/tighter torque converter, but good luck with that
