Maybe bad temp sensor. Computer thinks it -40F and richens the fuel mixture.

the ecu will idle high when its COLD out. near freezing, to help the engine warm up and keep a steady idle.

I think you're normal there.. the revs should go down to 1200 or less when the temp needle moves from pegged at cold.

mines has been at 1700-1900a at start up since its been cold out here lately
it drops as the car warms up
so its nothing to worry about it just helps the car heat up

yes i am from hull:-)...well just outside hull..

its starting at 2000rpm when cold then only dropping down to about 1100-1200rpm when fully warmed up:-( it used to drop right down to 900rpm so i'm guessing there is a problem or am i barking up the wrong tree??
anyting i can try? can i manually knock the revs down when its started up??
