hey again guys, ive been away from the forums for a while now due to starting a detailing business, but now i have a problem with my car, of course my transmission is garbage anyways due to no 3rd gear, however i have this one problem where i start the car and if its below 65F outside i get this wear knocking/scraping sound coming from transmission. so instead of trying to explain what the noise sounds like i took a video of it, i hope someone can point me in the right direction, trying to go on a roadtrip from SC to rhode island for christmas and i dont think its going to happen now. never fails every time i plan something, something happens and totaly screws up my plans. anyways heres the video, hope someone can help me figure this one out!. http://youtu.be/l_HwC4fQg_4

could be a bolt or somthing of that nature.. but you will not know till you get in it and check it out.. and since you are going to have to get inside to fix what ever it is, might as well just do it. good luck hope its not too bad, what ever it is.

indeed, no luck looking on car-parts.com? or any of your local pick and pulls? look at the corola and geo MT the trans shoudl be the same. just use your axles/hubs...

imo (IF you can, find a trans and get that one rebuilt, and ride out w/ the existing unit as long as posible, then when it goes or you have a way to have the down time to swap em out you got a fresh unit to throw in.. just my $0.02..

i know all about being tight on funds.. im am in the middle of a motor rebuild and the work season ran out here.. so now its a race to get this done so i can go elsware and find more work.. lol good luck.. at least for now i would prioratise any spare time you can (during open hours) to hit up the pick and pull's and at least see if you can get one localy..
