Hi all
About a year ago i replaced both inner cv boots on my 94 st202 import due to them being split on both sides. At the time I was worried about a joint failure, but soon forgot about it Well now, a year later, It has decided to start shuddering when pulling away, clunking occasionally when changing gear and making a terrible scraping noise on some corners, turning in either direction. Im pretty sure its not the wheel bearing as that was changed less than 15000km ago. Soooo, my question is, where can I find a brand new spare inner C.V. Joint online, I cannot seem to find one anywhere? Any help would be appreciated. ALSO, opinions on whether this is an mot failure would be handy, as its in a couple weeks! Thanks in advance fo any help provided! Mikey |

This year celica doesnt come with separable CV joints. you'd have to replace the whole half shaft.

Thanks for the info, no wonder they are hard to find!
UPDATE Im thinking, after talking to a few people knowledgable on celicas, that the actual hub is probably causing the noise, as well as undue stress on the bearing. inner cvs are rare to fail apparently.... new hub and bearing it is then! |
