Trying to gauge interest in who all would want a braided master to slave cylinder clutch line, ive been shopping around and have noticed there are not too many options for this and decided to take matters into my own hands. I could make these at a reasonable price and have a decent turn around time on the product. The Line in question would be a stainless steel braided -4AN line with fittings to match the master and slave and would be a one piece system to replace the old worn out stock system.
As some of you know a couple of my friends have an internet parts buisness and have recently gotten a direct account with a company specializing in american made, good quality, inexpensive AN lines/Fittings and i would like to pass the savings onto you all. I know how hard it is to find good quality inexpensive replacement/Performance parts for these cars, and with this opportunity it could evolve from the Clutch lines to Braided brake lines if there is enough interest. Let me know your all's thoughts on this. I can make one of these just for myself but i would rather help you all out with this as well. -------------------- 1996 Toyota Celica Project Mean Green

I'd be interested in 2 sets of brake lines, and one clutch line.

Still need to figure out what type of banjo fitting to be used on the Brake caliper, and need to get some sizes together for the other adapters. I know the adapter i would need for the slave/master line is a -4an to 10x1.0 mm adapter, or i could use a banjo fitting and bolt for that

Replacing the entire clutch line is not going to make it better. You just need the short section of rubber. Much cheaper. Techna fit and Goodridge make clutch and brake lines which are DOT approved. I would trust nothing less for road use.
Not to seem like a troll, but If you guys are interested in a group buy I would be happy to host one for you guys. Im actually doing one for cusco/whiteline parts ATM on alltrac.net Cheers |

The last thing that I would advocate using on my or anyone else's car is a cheap piece of rubber for the clutch line. Still waiting on update from supplier.should know tomorrow

The last thing that I would advocate using on my or anyone else's car is a cheap piece of rubber for the clutch line. Still waiting on update from supplier.should know tomorrow heya, not at all implying that. But for sure would be better to use an approved product. -4 line is also quite large and would add unneccessary expense. -3AN teflon lines SS braid is what is typically used. The techanfit have the added bonus of having a clear protective sleeve over the line to prevent debris from being trapped in the braiding. I have contacted moderators about doing group buys here and still have no response. I will work out the numbers and get some pricing for your guys within the next day or two Cheers This post has been edited by klue: Nov 20, 2011 - 3:34 PM |

The clutch line that came with my swap was 24" and connected directly to top of the transmission because my chassis was originally automatic. So buying this is pretty much bolt on for those going from auto to manual if you can't source an original hard line.

Jspeed also make one. This is what I have perfect length, good quality etc, I just found it needed a slight touch of filing on the 1 of the ends to move it into its holder. All factory celica's had a hardline on the firewall to a rubber flexi line to another hardline to the slave. -------------------- |
