I painted my speaker covers on the door panels today. Just finished the passenger side a few mins ago. I decided i wanted flames on them, so I first taped a piece of paper over the speaker cover and cut off the corners of the paper to make it the same size as the round cover. I then drew flames on the paper and cut out along the edges of the flames. I taped off the area around the speaker cover and taped the flame design down on the cover to keep the paint from getting in the area where I wanted the flames to be. I painted it and after letting it dry i peeled of the paper and tape and cleaned up the little overspray with paint thinner, which took some of the shine out of leather, so i sprayed armor-all on it and it made it look as good as new. The flames look damn good if i do say so myself. Just wanted to let u guys know.
BTW thanks to everybody on 6gc that helped me with ideas on what to do with my interior. It is almost finished now. The only things left to do is put in the gauge pod and a couple more neon lights. |
