Hey whats up guys, just got a quick question about my 4th Gen 3sgte. I pulled the motor out cause guess I got a cheap Chinese throw out bearing in my Exedy kit. Started to make noise after 2 weeks, finally got tired of it and pulled here out. I got motor/trans out cause Im using Lexus Es300 5spd trans E153, Im replacing TO bearing with one for Lexus made by Timken. Well since I went through all that, I figured I do the timing parts as well since shes out and its a royal PITA to do it in the car. I'll be ordering parts at my local Toyota dealer but before I go over there wanted to make sure what part to get off of what car, cause I know they'll ask me.
I seen couple of threads on here about timing belt and tensioner components. I want to replace my: T-belt................................not sure is it same through out all Gens water pump.......................not sure is it same through out all Gens. Plus I wouldnt mind having spare water housing(i know it dont work with Caldina motor) and would st185 work idler pulley.........................would state side 3sgte Mr2 work Hydraulic tensioner.............not sure is it same through out all Gens front seal...........................I think its same for all Gens...........answered in link it will work rear main seal....................I think its same for all Gens...........answered in link it will work cam gear seals...................Isnt this same for all Gens.............answered in link it will work Not sure about oil pump unless Solara or something would work without changing front oil cover. And is St185 water housing same as St205 I thin it is? T-stat from a 4 runner 98-2000s............................says it will work in 4th Gen. This is the thread I was reading, I see 3rd Gen parts posted but would I be able to get those in USA from dealer or do I have to order online through that site? Because I get a discounted prices at dealer like couple pennies marked over dealer price which is ultra cheap. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=75910 Thanks, Matt. |
