Hey I have some rainguards I am selling some of you may have seen them. I am having some problems getting them seen.
One major problem is there is no listing for the GT Four sub model at least not for US posts. A friend that also sells on e-bay suggested putting JDM in the title, but the part is mine and not actually JDM. Any tips? E-bay is really a rip off for sellers they charge 9% for selling which is really outragous imo, I didn't even make that back in the day when I sold electonics for commision only. Right now I am getting 100 views in 10 days, for 9% I would hope for a little more exposure than that. I am new to e-bay selling so any pointers would be helpful. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

^ that.
And maybe add in st202, or st205. I know when I search on ebay and i type in 94-99 celica, i whole bunch of extra crap comes up that I don't want to see, so usually Ill search st202 or st205 and then the part or whatever. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

OMG E-BAY is silly. The seach engine is so dumb. type in GT Four it brings up other options GTFour, GT-4, GT4, GT 4, ST205
it would be nice if it could understand they are all the same thing. lmao I just listed them all, it looks like OCD Ollie placed the ad, maybe it will get seen tho. This post has been edited by 97lestyousay: Apr 8, 2012 - 8:22 AM -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

i stopped selling on eBay for the reasons you mentioned, 9%, and now they charge a percent of the money you collect for shipping, and then after that, then you use paypal, and they charge another chunk of change, so i decided no more selling crap, not worth it..
They are taking advantage, and its just crap. Its good to buy stuff, but to sell its not worth my time. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL

yeah I finally had an ad that was getting views, and apparently they let you have 5 sales then they hold your money in paypal until 3 days after the items is received. They say it is for buyer protection, but it is really about selling their stupid shipping labels. This happens until you have 25 successful sales, are a seller for 90 days, and have a month with over $150 in total sales. It is right there, four pages into the ebay seller policys under the help section. I quit selling on there too. I thought about selling a bunch of small ticket stuff to meet the 25 sale criteria but fak um, it isn't worth it.

well i have more that 100 sales, been using paypal for 5 years now, and its their recent increase in commission that made it whole sour.
I sold a go cart and the commission was 30 bucks, i was mad. It had never been so high. so thats the last time i sold any sh!t in there. i still buy though. but will never sell, i rather throw the things away, unless its something rare, and can get a good chunk, ebay its not worth it to me -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... Then you're paying eBay to stick up for the buyer who is screwing you over. I stopped selling there over a year ago. Like you said, good for buying but not selling. Randy, it's too bad you aren't having good luck selling on eBay. How many rain guards do you have left? You might be able to sell the rest over time on here or gt4oc.net. Edit: Well, this is ironic. Just checked my email from my iPhone and look what I got. I have about 14 left, I think I am going to get them sent to anodizing next week at least a half dozen black ones.
I need to become a member there but it costs money. I tried to get ahold of hob he did a GB for the wrc cut thru version, but haven't heard back. The GB was a couple years ago so I honestly don't even know if that e-mail is still good. These are really almost played out, I thought about doing a TTE cut throu model but I just don't see the interest in them anymore. I can't complain, I honestly never expected them to take off the way they did. It makes me feel good to know something I designed is in use on the best looking rally car made throughout the world. I have looked at making an evo version, but it costs money which is not my strong suite atm. I have no mill available for protoyping and waterjetting one piece is very costly especially if I get it wrong the first time.lol oh, I got a little off topic, yeah, ebay sucks, yeah. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.
