ok so you saw my V6 swap with E153, im using the stock GT front mount and ST205 rear mount. the drivers side mount is what im having an issue with. the stock S54 bracket that bolts on the bell housing does not bolt to the E153. the bolt pattern is different. what im using now is an ST185 mount that i had from my All-Trac swap. i had to grind some material off the sides to get it to fit.
Anyways, why are there claims that the stock mount will work on the E153? -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo

It's only slightly different, you can cut it a little bit and get two of the bolts to line up. I made mine work with my e154f.

actually used a gt drivers mount..
had to flip the lower bracket and cut off a section of the gt isolator the ST205 drivers mount should be bolt on if you get it as the e53, e153, and e154f (the awd box) uses the same transmission case. -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. St205 rear mount and bracket, st205 top driver side bracket and USDM GT St204 mount, St204 USDM GT front bracket and mount.
Driver side bracket looks like casted webbing, not stamped steel bracket, think you can get this off of old Celica like 88 with S54 trans, would be something like st164 or something, or go on GT4OC.net and buy it from one of the breakers doing St205 part out, or try ebay.co.uk British version. Matt. Oh yeah driver side mount should be same on ST204 GT and St205 its the bracket thats different attaches differently to trans, cause I dont remember buying the mount.
