Right so I have my Asian model 6gc and I havent encountered any problem mounting my fogs or finding the right relay/multifunctional switch. My only issue is that I don't have a wire down below to attach the fogs. Is there any diagram/way for me to attach some wires to the relay and lead them down myself? I have searched and came up with nothing and I'd much rather avoid just wiring a switch into the dash.

You have a regular Celica, no special model. All 94-95 USDM Celica's did not come with wiring for preface foglights (unless there's something I don't know about). You will have to put a switch and relay in though.

From what I could tell from the previous owner and the existence of the brackets already on the car I believe my car isn't the USDM model. Well regardless the wire is missing so that is undeniably an issue. I found some old wiring diagrams from the previous gen on the interwebs but I've never actually wired into the relays.

theres no wire for it, when i had my fogs i just ran a wire to the battery and when i wanted them on i would just plug the postive on and presto, but then again you have to pop the hood to turn them off. or you could splice into the parking lights and do it that way and then run a toggle switch, or just run the wires together, to the positive and then a ground. your call. good luck

just run wiring to it, it would be best if you at least had the fog lamp pigtails to splice into. buy an OEM fog switch. You can run direct to the battery but remember to turn them off from the switch or run it into a relay. Should take you less than 30min to do the job.

If you want OEM look, find a Toyota switch and put it in that circle spot on the driver side, left vent.

You have to run the wires yourself. Your car IS from Japan, just like every other 6GC, as they were never made in America. However they were intended for US usage, so they didn't come with the preface lift fogs. Preface lift fogs are a Euro only option as far as I know... not sure if Japan even had them on theirs aside from the GT4's. However, the holes for the brackets are still there.

What I did was to run my own wires from the battery to a relay to ground, the two fogs, my side markers and then a switch located inside to cut them off and on. They are wired in so that when I open my door, or shut the lights off with the light stalk, the fogs also kick off. I can also just run my fogs as a DRL/Dusk/Bad weather day time light without having to have my headlights on. I also came up with my own switch design because I didn't like how the OEM one looked as much.

OEM Fog switches came in different forms, like the one you mentioned next to the vent which is rare to find known from the UK, the one that goes into the square pop outs, and then the ones on the levers. I'm sure i've seen the push button types like the hondas. I used the OEM one for the pop out, comes with an Amber Light too.

Quick question, I've run the wiring off the battery, through a switch, and to my ballasts/bulbs inside the fogs. I seem to be getting a weird alternation between one of the lights not working at any given time. Sometimes they work perfectly fine though. I've done voltage checks through my wires to the ballast and I'm always getting power. Where is a good place to ground the wires because I'm suspecting that might be the issue.

Running solely off the battery is a bad idea. You want a fuse, relay and switch.

Sorry I need to be more descriptive. I am using the proper fuse/switch, no relay however.

just run it to another ground wire, or wire it to your frame, like the ground is on the battery.

Only con of running it through the battery is if you forget about shutting it off it will drain your battery, other than that your car won't have a surge to break your bulbs. I did it for night time creeping...but it looks good with just the fogs on sometimes. I hate having the headlights to control when the fogs go on.

ground wire is good anywhere you have solid metal to metal contact, you can brush or sand the area to make it better. sometimes you may think you are getting good ground but youre not.

Thanks for all the responses. The way I have it now, before I go back and redo my grounds, the lights work half the time in unison. Will say I prefer the "creep" lighting when driving up driveways and car gatherings.
