Hey everyone i just ordered my jdm tail today andi wanna get the gangs jail taillight covers and i've emailed them multiple times in the past with no avail. can someone help me get in contact w/ them or a set for my car with a price. thanks

"These covers go over the sixth generation Celica hatchback tail-lights. They will not work for coupes or convertibles. Also, these tail-light covers will work only with the JDM tail-lights with the clear turn signal, because of the position of the reverse light."
i didnt know what the covers looked like so i went to parts database

yea, i wanna be noticed by people that dont have celica's too... i mean the lights are pimp but no one will know they're NOT stock w/o those kickass covers on them... so if anyone has any info email me or pm me or somethin. thanks
P.S. U dont have to pay $250.... a guy has them on ebay for a buy now of $200 the like 60 s&h or somethin like that. I think it's a good deal. later -------------------- |

i think those would be phat if you could mold them in somehow (no seams around the outside)

Agreed, covering stuff up is ricey...just leave ur JDM's tails, why do you need others to know they're JDM? Besides, they probably wont even know what kinda car you have.

Too me customizing a car is making the car unique while keeping a stock look so people say "what kinda car is that" not " hey thats a riced out celica"

jdm tails are sooo overrated..they dont look any better than stock....which are already nice...so then u might as well make them look different and "better" than everyone elses by using some covers.

covers are tacky though, they might have been cool like 10 years ago when select few had gto covers. Now every stupid ass civic and neon driving around has them, they just look terrible, takes away from the whole clean sharp look of the car. But whatever I guess some people just have different taste... |

Hi First up, congrats on having a vision for your celica and making it happen. The gangs jail covers are quite rare - even here in NZ where most things JDM are boringly common. I've seen the GJ covers twice in real life, and similar looking covers on a 6gc fully modded with 'toms' equipment - inside and out. The owner said the tail covers where a genuine 'toms' product, though I've never heard of or seen them before. Compared to the 'toms' covers (which I'm beginning to suspect were just cheap GJ copies) the GJ covers look very high quality and can be ordered painted or not. Interestingly enough I have only ever seen GJ covers on white 6gcs with full body kits on, and they look very good - like part of the spoiler package (none of the cars i've seen have had the molding which fills the gap where the licence plate sits). Anyway, this isn't just a post on my opinion A while ago I contacted a company here in NZ that says they can get any product from Japan, so I asked them about GJ covers and found the price was more than the tail lights themselves. I can't remember the exact price, but if you drop them an email I'm sure they'll let you know - as well as postage/shipping to the US. They are GTmotorsports. For me the price was too high at the time, and I moved on to my next mod (reverse indiglo gauges) but if you can't find a supplier in the US, this might be your next best bet. Good luck, and if you get hold of a pair, be sure to post many pics

Over-rated? JDM tails look extremely better, no awful orange. Take a look at the stock coupe tails, then take a look at the Currens - the Currens are so much cleaner and nicer looking, i hate the stock coupes. -------------------- |

If your that adamant on covering up the ALREADY-NICE JDM tails, instead of spending lots of money on those covers, just have a sticker shop replicate the design using vinyl. I really see no sense in wasting money on covers if all you want is the look of the GJ covers. |

JDM is fine but for what the cost I would rather spend that kind of cash on something else. There some JDM mods that rock but taillights r not one of them. Complete waste of money but on the other hand tastes vary between people. CelimanST
