I will agree. Any 7a will work. 96 and up do have an extra sensor but you dont have the wiring for it so youll have a connector without anything to plug into it. But itll be fine. Get er dun

Hi. I just finished an engine swap in my '94 st. My 236k mil 7afe(a) died, I replaced it with a newer 7afe(b) engine from a JDM Corolla. I had a couple plugs that are different, or have nowhere to go, because the harnesses are diff but the engine still works. car runs GREAT. Any specific questions, just let me know.

jappan doesnt have emissions regulations like the us. so your harrness has emission component plugs. bet you have an egr connector dangling dont you.

Explain in more detail what you are asking please. All jdm motors dont have emission components like egr. So yes a JDM 4a and 5a would not have extra bull crap bolted on. i believe the 5a was only introduced in the japan market correct?
