I recently bought an OEM intake system for my WRC Gt-four to replace my ****ty aftermarket one and there seems to be a few things that don't match.

-There used to be a hole in my previous hose for the sensor, now there's not. (I have now plugged the sensor onto the airbox because the hole was there instead.)
-There's a plug for a hose on the top part of the airbox, but I have nothing to connect it to.
-The holes for the bolts on the car and in the airbox are not the same size.
-There are tabs on the airbox but I can't figure out on what they hook up to, they're pretty much hanging out with no purpose..

Anybody knows why? Maybe WRC models have their own specific intake which is similar to the standard version but not identical?

Just a few of my tear-down photos. Hope they help:

-My temp sensor is plugged into the upper gt4 airbox cover as well

-That hose plug is a source of filtered air for the IAC

-Dont know what to tell ya

-Those are most likely the tabs for supporting the wiring harness

Just realised the previous owner had put a breather at the end of the hose, guess I'll just have to put some tape over this plug ftm.
Next time I'll simply wait till the next day instead of doing stuff at night haha.

Looking at your pictures, I can see that the 2 bolts I was given that hold down the box are not the good ones.. Do you know what are their size and thread?

The tab that is next to the battery (last picture) looks like it for the wiring harness indeed.

Though I can't guess to what the tab near the shock tower (1st picture) is hooked up to.

Could you identify these 2:

You said your temp sensor was plugged in the airbox, I guess it's that thing next to the IAC hose?
Also what is the little clip to the right used for? I can't see what it holds.

Thanks, that helped me quite much to label everything up in my head biggrin.gif

-Yes, the sensor plugged into the airbox cover next to the IAC hose is the temp sensor. The clip next to it is just one of the clips that attaches the top cover to the bottom of the airbox

-those 'two' things you circled are actually just the factory blow off valve. OEM's recirculate their BOVs, which is why our is attached to the airbox

I cant remember off the top of my head how the box was bolted down near the strut tower, but I dont see any reason why it wouldn't just be the frame. That's how st204's bolt their boxes
