Hey guys, i need some help here if you may, the rubber that goes around the headlight kinda comes out all the time, i have to keep pushing in it in, it does not comes out to the point of falling out because the rubber has like a lip that holds it, but it comes out to the point that it looks horrible, am i missing some clips or something to make it tighter to the glass from the headlight? if someone understands what im trying to explain here and knows what to do please let me know, thanks, i will take a picture tomorrow for a better understanding.

Rubber cement will hold them to the glass just fine. thumbsup.gif

I used the rubber cement method too. The clips fall off or break off.

I do a walk-around each day to check tire pressure, damage, etc. Pushing in the headlight rubber has become part of the routine. wink.gif

I stole some extra clips at the junkyard and used it on the bottom and sides or the rubber.

yeah, at first I found it very annoying, but I got used to pushing it back in every time I go near the car...

One thing is also bothering me - rubber around high-beams is not touching the lights... there is 0.5 - 1 cm space between the rubber/bumper and the lights. Is this also normal on celica?

There are only 5 or 6 spots the clips will fit without modification, and I think only 3 clips stock. If you have the headlight out it is worth cliping them all on correctly, and never having to worry about the rubber coming loose are looking trashy again.

I recycled some beer bottle caps, trimmed/bent them to the size and shape needed. Works great. Haven't had to adjust them since and it looks pretty cool when the hood is open.

have anyone tried 3M Super Weatherstrip gasket adhesive Black, I used that stuff to tac in place the black trim around the windshield that always came off after driving on the highway lol about 8 months later its still working, if you consider using that stuff keep in mind that its runny, if you put too much its going to slowly drip all over the place, do this in a whole day, and leave the headlights on a cardboard on direct sunlight, do the top half and let it sit for like 3 hours holding the rubber in place with painters tape or something like that, then flip it and do the same on the other side.
NOTE: make sure you clean everything and dry it off before doing this, good luck smile.gif

The front bumper has to come off, sadly. It's not a difficult job unless the nuts and bolts are rusty. It's three 10mm nuts on each side of the bumper inside the fenders, as well as a few 10mm bolts up top.

yeah, it seems like a chore but you do it once and it's really easier than it looks.

Removing front bumper

Batman722

Search this info.

IDK how to link front my phone or I would have done it.

Very detailed.

Then you will see how to take the lights out as all hardware will be visible.
