Newly broke. Heading to the junk yard to look for parts.

My old mustang used inch sockets, I am guessing the Celica need MM sockets?

Could someone post a quick what do you need in a tool kit for most repairs?

Is this a roadside repair kit or a tool kit for the garage? Just trying to see if space is an issue. A 3/8 metric ratchet set with a couple of extensions will take care of most things. Of course, a Phillips screwdriver is very handy as well. I seldom ever need a flathead screwdriver but it doesn't hurt to have one. A small pair of channel locks, crescent wrenches, metric end wrenches, a hammer, and a swear jar for all the dirty words you are destined to say when working on the car.

L-shaped screwdrivers are very much needed for rusted bolts. You might otherwise strip them.

I take a 1/4" socket for the different screw driver tips.

Flat head screwdrivers, phillips head screwdrivers, ratchet with 6,8,10, 12,14 and 17mm sockets (be sure to have like 3 10's and 3 12's) extension for the ratchet.....Hmmm, flashlight..Deffo a flashlight...Dont quite know what you are really looking for, but these basic tools have always helped me and my friends out for small basic situations....

If you wanted a road kit, i would include something to change sparkplugs, car jack, tire iron, hammer...

My personal list-

8mm ,10mm ,12mm ,14mm, 17mm, 19mm wrenchs, sockets or both preferably(a pipe to turn the ratchet into a breaker bar is sweet too)

Large Flat screwdriver
a 4 in one or 6 in one screwdriver so you have a phillips and a standard
flashlight
needlenose pliers(preferably with a cutting part)
monkey wrench
DUCT TAPE(oh yes it can fix anything on the side of the freeway to the next exit, from control arms to radiators)
Vice grips or normal pliers
