anyone out there done a DIY heater job? my heater no longer works and i was gonna try to see if i can't do it myself so that i can save a few bucks. i guess the heating unit went out..charlie informed me it's on the firewall in front of the driver's side...but i'm not sure, i haven't been in there and looked at it. so basically, just lookin for anyone that's done this or knows how..
thanks,

Hey when your heater started to go up; did you notice it in your temp gauge? I'm asking b/c my temp gauge is acting really screwey and I don't know if it's just the thermostat or if its the whole thing.

yeah, i made sure to watch that, so that i'd see if the car temp was doin anything, but it stays constant. i even changed my thermostat and in doing so basically flushed my coolant out, so i refilled that and ran it through, then added more to the reservoir...soooo...iono...i guess it's just the heating unit.
