I have 1994 for GT that's NEVER given me any major problems and I've had it sense 2005. It has a little over 200,000 on it. 3days ago I started the car and proceeded to let it warm up then I drove off and not even a mile down the road I got to the stop sign and the car hesitated slightly then it cut off on me. It wouldn't start back up and hasn't started sense! It has a brand new battery, starter is fairly new and it's working normally. The car attempts to start like it always has in the past but it just never turns over.... I checked my fuses and even replaced the starter relay and replaced the distributor cap and rotor but still it will not TURN OVER. Can anyone help me with this one???

just to fix your terminology, its turning over, just not running. If its not turning over then its locked up. But it sounds like the engine is rotating but not running.

ok this can be really easy or really complicated. i see you replaced the cap and rotor, but it might be the distributor. there is a cam and crank position sensor in there and if the ECU does not see those signals it will not run.

it could be your ignighter gone bad, it could be your fuel pump died.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking after I replaced the cap and the rotor that it could possibly be the distributor itself! I think my fuel pump is working fine because I disconnected the line running to the fuel filter to see if it was pumping gas up to fuel filter mounted on the frame and it was. So I think I'm at a cross between the distributor and possibly the igniter. The engine is not locked because it rotates when I attempt to crank it

It's the coil inside your distributor, same thing happened to me in the fall. It's an easy fix and you can do it yourself.
