I have recently bought a jalopy of a celica. I have a 93 rx7 but i needed a daily driver and something that could fit more than 2 people. I found a really cheap celica for $900 but it needs alot of tlc. Originally i was only going to keep it for a year or so until i found a better car, but i've grown to love my little bucket. In search of a new bumber, the one i had was held on by zip ties, i found a gt4 bumper w/lip and hood for $450 local pick up and same color! I have a couple questions regarding the coupe. It seems no one but me has a 6th gen with a trunk that isn't a convertible. I've been looking into the trd spoilers and rear side skirts and i wanted to to know if they would fit the trunk? also would the riser blocks fit the same?

coupes were only made up to a certain year i believe not the whole 94-99 generation same with the "st" with was i believe from 94-97. spoilers are different for the hatch and coupe, but if there is a will there is a way. trd did make a spoiler for the coupe. someone fitted a gt4 wing with blocks on a yellow vert. i am fairly sure rear extensions can be applied to coupe or hatch as well. look in the "stickies" section of the forums. there is a parts database. also try this site... http://www.kamikaze.com.hk/category.php?id_category=8 the guy who runs it is on our forum! coupes are fun. i had one, got rear ended. best of luck to you.

The front end will fit. You can purchase the bumper and hood and fit them on.

The side skirts, you'll need coupe/curren/convertible specific ones unless you somehow modify hatch skirts.

For the rear spats, you'll need coupe/curren/convertible rear skirts.

For the spoiler on the trunk, the riser blocks will not fit, they are hatch-only. You need to find a coupe wing like the coupe TRD or Curren wing.

No, but they are uglier. tongue.gif Like everyone else said, the only things that're different will be from the door back. Over in other parts of the world the "Celica Coupe" was called the Curren, and it had a different front fascia. Any exterior parts for a Curren will work for your car, such as spoiler and rear splitters and tail lights.

The coupe is more hard to find than a hatch. They were used up to make verts. I only see a few coupes around here, and about twice to three times as many hatches. Verts are very common (why, idk. We have snow and stuff but people still like convertibles) and the owners are usually female.

I'd love to see a coupe with a GT4 front end. Just saying.

When I've seen another 6GC it's been the coupe. Hmm, would be interesting to see some production numbers.

I love my coupe just like Kurt said, its different. They say that coupes are more rigid then hatches because of body design which in return can make, a better track car. but not everyone is out to do that and people tend to like the hatches more because its the same body style as the beloved GT4.

all the mechanical parts are the same as the hatch, just different body types.

The difference is in the rear deck. That creates stability between the two struts. If you put the ST205 bar across, you've remedied the issue and it's just as stiff as a coupe.

By mechanical parts I ment GT or ST motor and suspension stuff depending on the trim. Yes the body difference is the rear deck, but the coupe is more rigid then the hatch, but if you add the rear gt4 strut bar like you said then they equal out.

The coupe is a light lighter to I believe, but people tend to like the hatches better as stated in one of the podcasts lol

The liftback was designed with that front end in mind though. The coupe was a Curren with the Celica front end slapped onto it. Much in the way the 240SX coupe over here was a Silvia with the 240SX front end slapped onto it. Either car they just don't flow properly, at all. Given their proper face both cars look a million times better.

Thanks guys for the info! I fitted the gt4 hood, bumper, and lip only problem was the gap everyone gets but that was solved with a rubber hose lol. I was thinking of modding the riser blocks on or getting the trf wing next. Will the supra trd wing fit? I found some replicas on ebay. Also are the wheel offsets the same in the rear? I like the coupe a little better, makes it more symmetrical in my opinion but im weird kindasad.gif. The car is on my profile i will take better pics when i have it repainted, its all dinged and scratched from swapping the used gt4 parts

Don't get me wrong, I think the hatch defiantly flows better in terms of looks. But I love my coupe, especially after I removed the spoiler (thanks to the guys on here). To each their own i guess...

if i had the money i gladly would lol my fd is my first priority. On the curren would the conversion be as simper as swapping out the headlights and body panels or would you need the originaly curren front clip?
