is that price for parts and labor? cause if it is, then thats about how much it cost me to get it done. about $1000 for parts i sourced myself and $1000 for labor. I did not do it myself bc i do not have the facilities or the means to do it. But people who have done it themselves say it takes a long weekend, 3-4 days. But make sure you have EVERYTHING before you start. This is the main reason mine took so long int he shop to get done. Well, i did have everything, but one of the peices i gave them was cracked, i.e. the flywheel. So i went ahead and just bought a brand new one. Here is the parts list i used... seemed to cover everything.

-Tranny
-Shifter/cables
-Flywheel
-Clutch Master cyl.
-Slave cyl.
-New clutch
-Clutch metal fluid lines
-Rubber clutch line
-Flywheel bolts
-Pressure plate bolts
-Clutch pedal assy.
-Manual brake pedal assy.
-Tranny fluid
-Brake fluid for clutch

Try and get as much as you can from a Junkyard, else your alternative is new aftermarket stuff or toyota... and they will rape you with prices. But some things like the flywheel and pressure plate bolts you should get new from toyota.

PM me if you have questions. But keep in mind that all i did was source the parts, i paid extra to find the best stuff i could, and then give it to my mechanic who took care of the rest.

Ive been very happy with the results. It would be cheaper to just sell your celi and buy a new one, but if you are attached to YOUR car and YOUR specific car like i was, then this is a great invesment into your driving enjoyment.

I have done this swap myself it took about 4-5 days but it took me two weeks to round up parts. the swap itself wasnt to complicated. the swap directions off of celica.net helped but its for a 5th gerenation celica some things are different. total cost for me was bout 800 dollars with alot of parts right out of the junk yard.
Also youll need 2 new tranny mounts the one that bolt up near the battery, and the one on the back side were your differnetal is now.( one near the axles).

hanging the clutch pedal is the hardest point but like the 5th generation the place the bolts go on the fire wall are indented so it pritty easy just have to drill the holes good becuase you only get one shot with the drilling

Anybody ever sawpped both a motor and tranny together at the same time? I am planning on taking my motor and 5 spd tranny out of my wrecked car(94 GT) and putting it into my good car that has a auto(95 GT).Just curious as to how much easier this would be and about how long it will take.
