Miles on tranny? Approximately 120K. The OEM cables don't have the original bushings so I'm not going to separate them. This post has been edited by RichieRichJP: Oct 24, 2013 - 4:57 PM -------------------- |

It has not been rebuilt and doesn't need a rebuild.
A transmission does not undergo the same heat cycles as a motor so it obviously going to last much longer mechanically. The only thing this transmission will need is new axle seals. There aren't really many parts to replace on a transmission that would require a "rebuild." I've never seen a transmission needing a rebuild unless someone abused it and/or consistently and improperly shifted resulting destroying gear forks. I've also never seen a fully functional MR2 e153 with an LSD go for anything under $600 shipped, EVER. Even factory LSD's cost over $300. Funny I know that because I also own a fully built MR2 and I ended up sourcing a non-LSD e153 and a Quaife LSD for it. I must also add that this is a dual-synchro transmission, which to boot, cost more. Lastly, only the +93 MR2 e153's with LSD's came with dual synchro's. I've had plenty of time researching transmissions. Just saying. All that said, I'm flexible on the price. This post has been edited by RichieRichJP: Oct 26, 2013 - 2:50 PM -------------------- |

QUOTE - Custom modified 3SGTE Axle Carrier Mounting Bracket ($250) - E153 Axles (3SGTE Turbo Axles) ($250) - 92-93 Celica GT TWM Short Shifter ($150) - shifter cables Why not use a MR2T carrier bracket ? Do you have the MR2T turbo inners needed for the tranny, and what year 3SGTE turbo axles ? What shifter cables ? 5s (5th gen or 6gen) or st205 ? Why do you think the 5th gen TWM will fit the 6 gen ? -------------------- |

Didn't use MR2 carrier bracket because it doesn't perfectly swap over to a Camry. Those are the same axles as the MR2 ones; however, those are from a 2001 Solara so non-turbo. That means it'll work with certain aftermarket LSD's. Camry shifter cables. Again, the TWM shifter is in there as with the Camry cables. I also didn't realize that I didn't copy and paste everything over from my original post on another forum. I am including buying options so you guys (Celica owners) and pick and choose parts off of the kit. Edit: Actually, that line was included, you probably read over it. It's not a problem and I wasn't meaning to over-react.
I often get people on TN that intentionally destroy my FS posts by trying to find reasons why my stuff isn't worth the prices posted. I just come prepared to make sure I know my ****, that's all. -------------------- |

I just plan on selling them with the transmission. I'll eventually part them, but not in the next couple weeks. If this stuff isn't selling, then I'll part with them.
They will work on a 3SGTE non-lsd; they will also work on a 3SGTE with certain LSD's. I know there were a few, but Quaife is the only one I remember off the top of my head that it will work with. As for the bracket, I personally don't recommend this on a Celica simply because the rear motor mount is probably different than of a Camry. The carrier bearing on these axles are a combination of the Camry upper motor mount bracket and the carrier bearing itself. Although I'll be shooting myself in the foot saying this, since it would not be put into a Camry, save yourself the money and just source a carrier bearing from an MR2. I bought the one for my MR2 for something like $35 shipped. I have shipped Greyhound freight before. It's a bit of a pain in the ass since it's almost an hour away. But I can make it happen. 450 for the trans is not a bad price. I actually got mine from a 2000 Solara for 375. It was sitting out so it had to be opened up and cleaned.

Did you have this setup in the car behind a 5sfe?
I'm about to put an E52 in mine, curious as to how it worked out. The 5sfe will be switched with a 1mz but for the time being I'm curious if the 5sfe is reasonable to drive with this trans. |

I'm selling it because I parted out my car not because there was any functionality issues. Yes, it is very reasonable to drive and very good for a daily driver. -------------------- |
