There is no company that makes them. If you want them you'll have to find somebody that will custom make you some.

You need a header(notice how there's no "s"), and I think that you can buy one for a 3S-GE and have it modified to fit. I believe this is what Jared did on his car.

Coomer....It was a usdm 3sfe.
And Yes you can put one on the 5sfe. I think he had to widen 1 bolt hole. -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe

On the subject of headers... Does anyone know if the stock header has pre-cats in it, or any kind of emissions crud at all?

HKS doesn't make a header for the 5SFE... as I know. They probably do for the 3SGE though. And yes... the 5SFE and 7AFE exhaust manifolds do have cats built in them... As far as actually getting a header goes... what for? If for increased performance... there are better things to do than spend 2-3 hundred or so dollars for a header... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

If you're desparate...Try This... Also, this header will bolt-up directly... but the downpipe will most likely need modification...
A header is not gonna add a ton of power (a few horses at most). Typical n/a 4 cylinders these days get excellent exhaust flow with the stock set-up... This post has been edited by Kwanza26: Jan 29, 2004 - 4:19 PM -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

um, as far as i know.... the stock exhaust manifold generally just has an O2 sensor in it, and most aftermarket headers have o2 hook ups either in the header itself or on the downpipe.... an exhaust manifold doesn't have a built in cat.... the cat is after the downpipe......

The 5sfe one has one also. So yes they do have built in cats in the exhaust manifold. -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe

guess that's something they did in the later model cars..... still seems like it would cost them more to build a cat into an exhaust manifold than to have 2 seperate cats like new cars have.....

Ugh. I would like so see a pic if you have one handy. If not, it is enough to know that it has a cat... which means I can't change the dang thing. |

Ripp mods (the supercharger guys) made a header for their project. someone should contact them and see if they just sell the header.

Here's a picture of the 7AFE exhaust manifold... The entire bottom piece is the cat (the part wrapped in the heat shield)... I believe it's also the case with the 5SFE manifold... Here is a back-side pict... And here is a pict of inside the cat... This is for the California version of the AT200... so others may vary... but in this case... there is a cat in the manifold. My 5S-FE has two holes for the o2 sensor. One PRE CAT and the other POST CAT.

I have the Pacesetter 3s-fe header from the 4th gen Celicas from Summit racing.
Bout $150 shipped to my door. All u have to do is widen one of the holes to the head stud. DON'T use the pacesetter gaskets. I went and got the Felpro(sp?) metal gaskets. Thats the exhaust mani gasket and the collector gasket. B4 i blew 5 of the paper gaskets with sealent. Changed to the metal and its great. As said there is 2 O2 sensors on the 5s. There is one hole for the o2 on the header. Since it eliminates the cat, u have to either weld a new bung in for the 2nd o2 or just do what i did and splice one o2 sensor into the other. That way u don't get a CEL for not having 2 o2's. -------------------- Jared Harwell

The second o2 sensor has 2 wires while the first o2 sensor has 1. How do you splice the the wires?
