The light has gone in the trunk (luggage compartment) of my GT hatchback. I have checked the bulb and it looks ok, but replaced it anyway, but it's still not working. The internal dome still works, as does everything else, that i've noticed.
I've got a Hains manual but it doesnt give a very good wiring diagram. I can't tell if it has a fuse for this light on its own, or if it's on the same circuit as all the internal lights. Also can't find a fuse for internal lights at all, checked the ones under the dash and the ones under the bonnet (hood) but nothing is labelled as such. Anyone help me out? |

I have the same problem and I haven't been able to fix it. Its not the bulb, and I've checked all the fuses in the 2 main fuse blocks. The only thing I can think of is that it runs off a 'hidden' fuse somewhere.

i've checked it with opening the driver's door to check that the automatic swith on the trunk isn't faulty, but it still isn't working.
Think at the weekend, i'm going to take the light fitting out and check the wiring there. IF this doesn't show anything then i'll get hold of multimeter and check as much wiring as i can to find the problem - don't think it can be a burned wire tho, or the fuse would have gone surely, and if the fuse had gone then the dome light wouldn't work?? I'll let you know what happens anyway. |
