i recommend the Silvania Silverstars look at the forum topic in this section that is labled "Silvania Silverstars " you'll get feed back from there....its an amazing light bulb...and as for the glare on the road when its raining thats usually a problem with all headlights....but the Silvania Silverstars are a great bulb

How used are they and how much did you pay for them? PIAA was in NFSU so they must be kickass! tongue.gif rolleyes.gif

Go to the main page and click on "Information Database", scroll to the bottom under "Exterior/Lighting", click on "Sixth Generation Lighting Guide".
Or just click on the link. biggrin.gif

Well obviously you can use these since they're in my car and obviously your going to be buying new bulbs and unless you got the money for good bulbs, in which Eurolite starts at $35, and these PIAA's (best on the market) can go for $70 and up!

Notice Akimbo and Ben's posts. Bulbs are basically already sold.

They're PIAA's, i didnt think you would need an OFFICIAL Supersprynt endorsement.

Can someone tell this kid how much of an ass he should feel like now that he has so rudely dismissed my offer of selling him $60 PIAA superwhites for $10?

You know I was totally thinking the same thing when I first read this post? I would of loved to scoop those up when one of my Silverstars blew. I ended up getting a set of 9006 Piaa's for $30.

Well hey, maybe he wanted unused bulbs. wink.gif

But someone's loss, is someone else's gain. biggrin.gif

Has anyone tried modifying 9005 bulbs to fit into the 9006 sockets and then upgrading their wiring to handle the extra power? I hear that you gain visibility by doing this.

I have been thinking of modifying the hi-beam bulbs to fit the low beam housing, its just 1 of the 3 tabs in the wrong place, but also the low beam has the very end of the bulb coated (I suspect to keep from being so bright to oncoming traffic), while the hi-beam doesnt. But after investing in the PIAA's, I decided the real problem was headlight aim, re-adjusted mine and it makes a LOT of difference, (and dont pay any attention to the bubbles, mine were apparently way off from being aligned properly- OR I dont have a truely level place to do this). Also, be sure which screw does which direction. its not as obvious as it seems,,,easy to start turning the wrong one. So far no one flashes their lights at me and I can see great now.
