Anybody fixed a seized vert motor, or done any work on them? I had to remove my driver's side one earlier this year since it was stuck. The gear part rotates fine so it's definitely the motor.

Also, do both sides use the same motor, the only difference being wiring in order to have them spin the same direction?

Better to get a used motor if seized. Does the motor make noise, if you plug it to 12 volt. If the cotter pin is broken it will not move the gear unde load, but it will with no load. Please be more specific.

These motors came under a lot of cars to include Mitsubishi convertibles and are cheap on eBay. Also you can get them for 25 a pop on a yard
