I'm wondering if it is possible to supercharge my st202 engine. I'm looking for just a bit more out of my baby.

search 3sgze, as there was a thread about a gen 3 3sge with a supercharger back in 2005

otherwise modern day look into the rotrex supercharger, there was a very long thread on the BOC on a mr2 forum with details about the build.

Bear in mind with the change of the engine's aspiration here in NZ you're going to need to cert it so add on $550

You can supercharge it, but its generally accepted that it's a better bang for the buck to buy and swap a 3S-GTE. The NA 3S-GE has different internals than the 3S-GTE that won't allow it to run as much boost or power. It would also be difficult to tune properly. That being said, it can be done and if you aren't after 300 whp, I think it would be cool to see a supercharged 3S.

ya the super charger is 3700 + tax better off with an engine swap
