hi,
Does any one know why my gen3 3sgte is revving until 5.8K-5.9K? I have changed the rotor cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs, checked vacuum, fuel pressure and every thing is normal. My ignition mods are: MSD SS coil MSD 6AL 6425 MSD tach adapter NGK wires sparkplug IK20 (same problem) sparkplug BKR7EIX (same problem) New rotor and cap There is no diagnosis code stored on the ecu and running on RON97. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9oS82K9QJ0...pEwUQlAG_mQcjFg my 3sgte This post has been edited by ssj3timy: Jan 26, 2014 - 10:10 PM |

Check the cam timing just to make sure nothing slipped a tooth also check you're not hitting the stock fuel cut, I believe it cuts fuel if boost pressure rises over a certain amount.

Sounds like the rev limiter. Are you sure the 6AL rev limiter dials are set where they are supposed to be? Has it ever worked correctly? What is the history of this setup?

the 6AL is set to 7200 rpm, also when is set to a higher rpm it doesn't matter, the cut is still on 5800-5900 rpm. besides, when I set to less rpm the 6AL cut the ignition. I think that the 6AL si operating properly. I just check the camshaft pulley and is set to the correct tooth. I was running at 12° without any problems at 15psi. so I'm going to set it at 10° and see whats happen.
