Questions:

1) My 1994 Celica BGB (FSM SA-17) FRONT AXLE HUB ASSEMBLY procedure leaves out both oil seals in its assembly order.

At what point in the assembly process are the seals installed? If I installed both seals right after installing the snap ring, I suspect I would damage the seals when I installed the hub.

BGB INSTALL PROCEDURE:

1 -- bearing and snap ring
2 -- dust cover
3 -- hub
4 -- lower ball joint
5 -- NEW dust deflector

2) Is it ESSENTIAL that the dust deflector be NEW? I have an old one cleaned up and ready to install. Looks to be in good shape.

TIA

PS: Seems like viewers have nothing to say when they view these questions, and I am in a hurry to finish the job. Could some new viewer please suggest the reason? Like, is this posted in the wrong place, are the questions confusing, or are there too few people here who change out their own front wheel bearings?
