Decided to open up a post with tire reviews you've had. Please answer them in a simple yet detailed review as follows:
Make/Model: Size: Mileage: Driver Style: Scale on 1-10 Dry: Wet: Snow: Noise: Comfort: TreadWear: Review Paragraph/Notes: ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ Make/Model: Falken FK452 Size: 225/45/17 Miles: About 10k miles Driver Style: Daily with some aggressive use Scale on 1-5 Dry: 4 Wet:4 Snow: N/A Noise: 3 Comfort: 4 TreadWear: 4 Review Paragraph/Notes: Had them mounted on my Enkei RPF1 17x8 and they gripped the road awesome. It does get a bit noisy but it's nothing too crazy. Lol. The comfort was nice. A lot better than my other 40 series tires....lol. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ Make/Model: Nankang NS20 Size: 205/40/17 Mileage: 10k Driver Style: Daily/Stretched Scale on 1-10 Dry: 3.5 Wet: 3 Snow: N/A Noise: 4 Comfort: 4 TreadWear: 4 Review Paragraph/Notes: Had these mounted on my RPF1 17x8. The grip was ok on both dry and wet. The tread wear was good though. Didn't notice much tread gone after I dismounted them. They're good tires overall. The stretch looked ugly because it was rounded instead of stiff and flat. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ Make/Model: Saffiro SF7000 Size: 205/40/17 Mileage: 12k Driver Style: Daily/Stretched Scale on 1-10 Dry: 3.5 Wet: 3 Snow: N/A Noise: 4 Comfort: 4 TreadWear: 5 Review Paragraph/Notes: These happen to be mounted on my Advan SA3 17x8 and 17x9. The stretch was good. Looked better than my NS20. The grip is crap on both wet and dry. The tread wear was good since I haven't noticed much tread gone yet. These are much softer than the NS20 also. Make/Model: BF-Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp2
Size: 215/45/17 Mileage: 5000 Miles Driver Style: Aggressive Daily Scale on 1-10 Dry:8 Wet:9 Snow:N/A (its a summer tire plus i don't have snow where i live) Noise:7 Comfort:7 TreadWear:9.5 Review Paragraph/Notes: I had just recently replaced two tires that were from my friend, the previous owner of the wheels i purchased. The two tires were from 2005 and had 70k miles on them. The tread looked totally fine, i just didn't like the idea of driving on old, and weathered tires. We have a lot of hairpin turns on the coastal roads on the islands, as well as in the mountains. With the tires + the Celica i have no issues taking them at 50-60mph dry, i usually drive slower and less aggressive when its wet but I've done turns with these tires at 40-50 wet and felt comfortable. Braking is very good. Noise from them on concrete freeways sounds like a small jet as usual. The comfort isn't too bad, but it could be better, probably just my struts and springs which need to be replaced with new ones and lowering springs. |
