After calling various shops I can't find anywhere that will v6 swap my car. I even called prime Performance in new jesery they won't even do a v6 swap because they said "We won't do V6 swaps because they are useless, complicated, unreliable and more expensive. The GEN4 is light years better in every single way" I am not knowledgeanle to complete the swap my self. Just seeing if anyone here ever had a shop do it and for what price.

I like the Gen 4 swap over a V6 myself, but that's personal preference and nothing more. I'm surprised Prime would put down the V6 swap, especially with such a biased opinion. The 4th gen isn't necessarily better or worse, just different. Most shops will shy away from doing a swap for you, but Tweak'd may do it, or you may be able to talk to Smaay depending on where you are.

Last I saw on 6gc he was no longer doing swap . Smaay is in Cali and I'm in Ohio. I know Kurt has a v6 and he's in Ohio I thought about asking him. I have 2 more shops in Cincinnati and Fairfield to call but the shop reviews didn't look to promising.

I don't think they understand what you're asking or know anything about it.

I'm not saying anything bad about prime. They do amazing work. I'm just assuming they have much more faith in 3sgte or seen many v6 swaps just go to hell. I'm not sure. I did pm you and I'd totally go to Toronto but I don't even have a passport and I think that's one hell of a drive lol. I mean if the price was right what do I got.to loose haha.

What it translates to is they can't make as much money off you swapping in an easy to find engine as they could with an imported engine that you can't get for wholesale like they can. That or they're admitting they're too stupid to do anything outside of the box. Either way it doesn't bode well in my eyes. Plenty of information here on doing the V6 swap, between Kurt, Smaay, and Lamont everything has been covered and documented.
