Just a feeler to see if anyone would be interested.

98 Red GT

Interior & exterior is not the most pleasing to look at, but it is ultra reliable and has done daily duties well for the past 4 years of ownership.

Parts replaced:
New radiator/cap
Spark plugs & wires
Cat
New tires
New o2 sensor
New coolant temp sensor
New seat covers
Always oil changed on time
brake flush
tranny flush when I got it (2011)

The bad:
small crack upper left windshield
two speakers are not functional (radio related, just not a "need to replace" part to replace and audio is still fine)
somehow the antenna is loose, taped it up so it functions just fine, never had a problem with the radio
When starting cold, you need to hold accelerator for about 5 seconds, every other start after that is fine when warm (I'm thinking it's a fuel delivery problem, fuel pump. It only takes up 5 seconds of my day so I never really bothered to replace this problem)
No tinted windows
Paint is faded, but who cares about that?
The strut in front of the radiator seems to be bent, I feel like the previous owner might have hit it and just replaced the front end with another one and sold it off to the guy who sold it to me.
Brakes feel a little warn, stop just fine tho
It has a leak somewhere, nothing drastic but you may want to put more oil after 2,000 miles or so. About half a quart
Rust on the outside passenger a-pillar, nothing that's bad just kinda nasty
Gas guage works, but seems to move faster towards the last half of the tank, 400 miles to the tank is normal

The good:
does 80 miles a day no problem
32 mpg when freeway heavy
never any problems with the engine
tires have only 15-20k miles on them, they are 80k+ tires
Timing belt was replaced when I bought it @ 145 (2011)
still has it's spare tire
I clean and maintain all the necessary parts. Castrol GTX high mileage on every oil change
Last time I cleaned the throttle body was 1 year ago
Battery keep cranking after 3 years, 78 month toyota battery
No idiots drive my car, only me
never had any stupid swaps or crazy air intakes
Just checked over all switches and fuses and replaced the shady ones
catalytic converter was pricy but now it passes smog with WAY below numbers
New headlights
A/C works fine at freeway speeds, but not the greatest at idle
Heater is ridiculous hot in winter
Has been in Cali for the past 4 years
All power everything works without flaw
Odometer, speedometer and tachometer work flawlessly
E-brake works flawlessly
Throttle cable is non sticky after I cleaned it
Suspension is fine
High beams work flawlessly
underbody plastic has been reinforced with new screws
Replaced underbody driver side plastic when it flew off (previous owner again)
Never any problems starting (except for the already mentioned)
very cheap to maintain

Basically, all the bad stuff the previous owner could have done has already happened to me, so I replaced and now it's a champ again.

Perfect A to B car, and has given me 4 reliable years of service. 193,xxx and continuously going up as it will still be my daily.

Looking for $2,200. Hoping for a local sale. Cash only

I may be interesting and will be up in Sacramento area next month. Does the car smog ok? Have any pics? And if I buy it, do you think it will survive a 600 miles drive? biggrin.gif
