For those who have had a fuel pump failure -- what miles did you have on your odometer when your fuel pump failed? How difficult was the replacement and did you acquire after market pump or order one from Toyota?

I've wondered the same thing because I'm at 280k and I have no idea if the pump has ever been replaced.
However, unless you have a GT4, the pump is right under the back seat cushion. You just lift out the seat and it's right there I think the hardest part of it would be squeezing yourself into the back seat. And you can get one on Rockauto.com for $80 for a Denso or $150 for the AC delco I've considered picking one up just so that I've got it on-hand if it ever fails. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

Thanks - amazing if fuel pump goes 280,000! Must be a reliable device as never see any posts about fuel pump failures.
Anyone else with high mileage with a fuel pump still working? Appreciate any responses! -------------------- ![]() I spent my money on wild women, partying, gambling, expensive timepieces, and my 6GC - the rest of it I wasted! |
