Somewhat ironic since that's what they were based on, I always found it funny Toyota outdid Ford in making an economy Mustang. Anyhow this is pretty much the general jist of how I'd want to do one, but it would be tempting to use a LS motor to keep front end weight and center of gravity lower.

I dunno, the UZ is a pretty light motor and that gen of engine is FAA certified for airplane usage, an impressive feat for an automobile engine.

Hmm, from what I can find doing a quick search they weigh close to each other. I do like the idea of having a Toyota drivetrain in a Toyota.
