If I get the greddy e-manage and hook it up to my ECU is there still a need for a AFM?

e manage is a piggy back setup

i dont think it has the ability to have its own map, and convert the signal to afm signal, then send it into the ecu

you would have to go with a full EMS

Perfect Power PRS-8...best EMS out there for our cars...although unless you have boost or 3sgte swapped in...no reason why you need any type of piggy back or ems. If you just ahve the stock N/A engine, then get a S-AFC and control the fuel map with that.

Highly debated if the SAFC is a good or bad thing. And why do you wanna get rid of ur AFM? Unless your aiming for the 4 - 500hp region you dont need an EMS

Yes I have used the PRS8 when I had my 93 RX7. I also got referred to the system because of jhull0712 over at toyotacelicas.com. He is probably the smartest guy when it comes to swapping in the 3sgte, and he used the system in his car and it works wonders. They make a harness for the 3sgte so you can sue the PRS8 with it.

And as always the term "best" is always objectional because the word "best" is always an opinionated word as it's what works best for each different application. Personally though, I'v read about lots of people using products form the Perfect Power company with celicas having swaps, whether it be a piggy back SMT6 or one of the PRS systems, and personally I'd spring for the PRS8. I'm actually looking into getting one for the Rex, but not sure yet if I wanna spend all that much money on it.

And to answer the other question, no if you had a PRS8 there'd be no need for the S-AFC or similar type tool. SO, if you read my post closely, I said if you aren't aiming for super high hp figures then you only have need for the S-AFC.
